I. Functions of Prayas Child Home

I.I Shelter & Care: Children who are abandoned, orphaned, or surrendered (up to 6 years of age) are provided with shelter and essential care.
I.II Holistic Services: They receive:
- Regular health check-ups
- Nutritious food
- Primary education
- Play materials for overall development
I.III Proper Documentation: Each child is registered and issued a health card for medical history and tracking.
I.IV Parental Counseling: Trained counselors provide support and counseling to biological parents when required.
I.V Legal Adoption: Children are adopted legally by suitable families through a court-monitored process.
I.VI Coordination: The home works in coordination with:
- Child Welfare Committees
- Local police stations
- NGOs
- Healthcare institutions

II. Rules for Adoption of Orphaned or Surrendered Children

II.I Registration: Prospective parents must register online at the official CARA portal: www.cara.wcd.gov.in
II.II Child's Well-being: Adoptive parents must commit to the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the child.
II.III Legal Process: All adoptions must follow the legal process in court.
II.IV Stable Relationship: Couples must demonstrate a stable and supportive marital relationship.
II.V Eligibility: Any individual or couple meeting CARA's guidelines is eligible to adopt a child.
II.VI Single Parents: Single individuals, both male and female, may also adopt under specific conditions.

III.I Report a Child in Need: If you come across any orphaned, abandoned, or surrendered child, notify Prayas Child Home immediately.
III.II Interested in Adoption: Submit an application if you are interested in adopting a child.
